Titanium Aura Black Kyanite Dragonfly

These pieces are sourced from Brazil and develops deep within the Earth under high-pressure conditions where aluminum-rich minerals are transformed during intense heat and tectonic movement. As the crystal grows, it expands in flat, striated blades rather than traditional points, creating its signature “fan” or broom-like structure. The dark coloration is typically the result of iron and carbon-based inclusions within the host rock, giving each piece its rich charcoal-to-black tones.

How Titanium Aura Kyanite Is Created

To create these various vibrant Aura colors, Black Kyanite undergoes a specialized enhancement process known as vacuum deposition. During this process, the crystal is placed inside a sealed chamber where metals such as Titanium are heated to extremely high temperatures. The vaporized metal bonds to the surface of the crystal at a molecular level, creating a permanent iridescent coating.

Unlike paint or dyes, the titanium coating becomes part of the crystal's surface, producing brilliant flashes of blue, purple, gold, pink, and teal that shift depending on the angle and lighting. Each piece develops its own unique color patterns, ensuring that no two aura-coated crystals are exactly alike.
