Brown Snowflake Obsidian 5" Skull

A unique and beautiful hand carved piece made from Brown Snowflake Obsidian. This Skull is 5" (from front to back) and weighs approximately 2 pounds 11.3 ounces. 

Brown Snowflake Obsidian is formed from volcanic glass, created when lava cools rapidly after an eruption, preventing the formation of crystals. The brown color in this Obsidian comes from the presence of iron and other trace minerals that give it its distinctive earthy hue. The unique snowflake patterns are formed through the process of crystallization, where small, white or light-colored mineral inclusions, often made of Cristobalite, develop as the lava cools.
