Mookaite is a form of Jasper found in the Kennedy ranges of Western Australia, near Mooka Creek. The name Mooka, which stands for the Aboriginal term of running water, represents the many springs in the area.  Mookaite is known for its vibrant colors and distinctive patterns. The brecciated variety contains fragments of various other minerals, creating a unique, artistic design in each stone.
