Bloodstone 4.6" Skull

A unique and beautiful hand carved piece made from Bloodstone. This Skull is 4.6" (front to back) and weighs approximately 2 pounds 9.3 ounces. 

Bloodstone is known as Heliotrope and is a dark green to greenish-blue variety of Chalcedony (a type of Microcrystalline Quartz). The splashes of red are caused by Iron Oxide inclusions which gives it the appearance of "blood drops", hence its name,
