Angelite is a form of Anhydrite, a mineral composed mainly of calcium sulfate. It forms from the alteration of Gypsum under specific geological conditions, often associated with volcanic activity. The striking blue color of Angelite is due to the presence of trace minerals, particularly Celestine.
